London Mardi Gras |

Two weeks
ago, Debs and I were invited to participate in the annual Gay Pride festival
in London. It was short notice but….. we don't let a simple thing like there being
a shortage of time get in the way of a good party ! Within no
time at all, the all the resources of Tranny Grange swung into action.
Stella, our very own graphic designer volunteered to make a FAB banner to
display on the float. Lady Fiona and Madam Jo were seconded to join Debs and
I on the BIG DAY, and plans were in hand to make this day one to remember for
a very long time. Debs was
soon planning the survival rations for the day - smoked salmon bagels and
champagne of course formed an integral part ! - as well as all those
important little extras like decorated ballons for the float. Jo arrived
chez nous on the Friday night and after a delicious chilli & chips at the
local hostelry, we prepared ourselves
for the day ahead. At 6am we
were all awake and getting ourselves ready. By 8.30 we were on the road on
our way to Hammersmith to the home of Leah and Sue, where the float was
already being decorated. Fiona arrived soon afterwards, and by 10am we were
on the float and heading for the parade assembly point at Grosvenor Square. Here is the
pictorial story of our SPECTACULAR day…… |
